Afternoon Sessions

12.30pm-3.30pm

Children joining us for an afternoon session will spend time in our lovely cosy room alongside children who arrived in the morning or at lunchtime. Afternoon activities include yoga and mindfulness, as well as free-play time to explore and create in the room. We end the day by sharing songs and stories together and discussing our favourite moments of the session.

Rising fives

Our Rising 5s sessions take place on a Wednesday morning throughout the summer term. Our school starters have a fantastic opportunity to spend time in the Park Grove reception classes. Children can explore the provision, explore new resources as well as meet the teachers and staff they will be supported by when they begin school.

Forest school

We share many wonderful outdoor spaces with Park Grove school. The playing field, buzz garden, playground, climbing frame, outdoor garden and forest school woodland area.

Children take part in forest school activities throughout the week. These focus on understanding nature, learning about the seasons, understanding the natural world and exploring how being outside can positively impact how we feel.

Our preschool is located within Park Grove School, and as well as our own dedicated indoor space, we also have access to the outdoor play spaces, including the forest school and outdoor classroom.

Our team works closely with the Early Years team of Park Grove, to tie in planning and ensure smooth transitions for those children progressing onto Park Grove Primary Academy
